Superior Linen
The Heighington family has been providing the highest quality fabricare, garment and textile services for more than a century.
The history begins with John and Bryon Heighington’s great-grandfather, Herbert Edward, who did laundry on British navy ships in 1857. In 1915 he opened Camrose Steam Laundry in Alberta, after which his son Herbert opened a dry-cleaning business.
Eventually, Herbert’s son Norman took over the business and started up in Prince George the city’s first commercial and industrial drycleaner.
Norm moved his business to Terrace at a later date.
For many years John and Bryon operated three locations in Terrace. Superior Linen Supply on Legion avenue, Spotless Drycleaners on Lakelse avenue and Spotless Cleaners, Laundromat & Onsight Embroidery on Emmerson street across from the post office.
In 2022 Superior Linen returned to the Spotless Uniform family, Today, Norm’s grandson Shaun Heighington carries on the rapidly growing business as CEO.
